In 2005 James Decided to Join the Utah Army National Guard During his time of Service he was assigned to Group Support Battalion of the 19th Special Forces Group. His Military Occupation Specialty is 92-G Culinary Specialist.
He attended Utah Valley University and Graduated with an AAS degree in Culinary Arts in 2007. from 2007 to 2009 He worked up at Sundance in the Foundry Grill and The Tree Room. He left working at the Tree Room to Server full time with the Utah National Guard, to work at the 640th RTI( Reginal Training Instituted) DFAC (Dinning Facility) in 2010 James Was Deployed to Iraq with the 19th SFG(A) During his time in Iraq he was assigned to work with the US NAVY in Fallijuia, Iraq. He work with SEAL team III team V and SEA BEE's.

Food is a very important part of our lives even when deployed to Iraq Chef James made sure that the Sailors and Soldiers had food that would comfort them while away from home during the holidays.
